Come January, Air India will be piloted by the Tata Group, again after 68 years. Tuhin Kanta Pandey Secretary, DIPAM told the media yesterday that there were two bidders – Talace Private Limited, a special purpose vehicle of Tata Sons and, a consortium led by SpiceJet chief Ajay Singh. The government had set the reserve price at INR 12,906 crore. While Tata Sons’ SPV bid INR 18,000 crore enterprise value, the second bid was for INR 15,100 crore.
