Arrive at Kandy via Pinnawala

1. On arrival you will be transferred to the hotel in Kandy. On the way, you will visit some must-see places in Sri Lanka.
2. First, you will get the chance to visit one of the most important tourist attractions in Sri Lanka, the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage.
3. On the way to Kandy you can stop at Spice Garden and try different spices and herbs, helping you gain an insight into the long spice history of the island. The bustling hill-country capital of Kandy is the gateway to Sri Lanka’s breath-taking mountain scenery. But there is much to see in Kandy before you head further into the hills. The town’s temperate climate, rich history and has made it a favorite haunt for travelers.
4. A visit to the the Temple of the Tooth has long been acknowledged as one of the most unfishable experiences in Kandy. Tradition tells that a sacred tooth relic of the Lord Buddha was brought to Sri Lanka in 4th century A.D. and was enshrined within the Temple, a striking building with a golden roof.
5. In the evening, return to the hotel and relax.

Kandy City Tour

1. After breakfast, continue the city tour of Kandy. You will roam in the city, explore the market and in the evening, visit famous Bahirava Kanda temple.
2. Kandy’s war cemetery, which honors more than 200 people from many nations who died in the Second Worlds War, is a meaningful place for many. It is in a very serene spot and immaculately maintained by the War Graves Commission.
3. Beyond Kandy, there are also great things to do. The Victoria Golf & Country Resort is one of the most beautiful golf courses in Asia. Kandy also has a fine international cricket stadium, Pallakele, which stages both one-day matches and test cricket.
4. Later for lunch, the chauffer will lead you to a restaurant where you can have your preferred meal.
5. On the second hald of the tour, visit to the gem museum and batik factory. You can also see Sri Lankan wood carvings as well. After visiting the gem museum, enjoy the Dance performances conducted by Sri Lankan traditional dancers in the evening.
6. Return to the hotel, evening at leisure!

Transfer to Nuwara Eliya

1. Post breakfast, you can leave to the centre of hill capital named as “Nuwaraeliya”. When you are proceeding to Nuwara Eliya named as “Little England” via Gampola road, you can witness the Ramboda falls.(Ramboda Falls is the 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. Actually, Ramboda falls consists of three sections. You will get a good view of the middle section from the A5 highway, just above the bridge. This is very small in size with compared to other parts. You can get a far view of the top part from the main road, but not the complete view of the fall. You need to climb up to see the top part of the Ramboda falls and there is a pathway just before the bridge. You may find the climbing bit difficult, but you will be compensated with the great view of the top fall and the surrounding.)
2. Your next stop is ‘Bloom Field Tea Factory’ – During the visit, you will get a rare opportunity of experiencing the art of plucking the world-famous “Ceylon Tea” and then watching the process of grading tea into different categories. Watch how this green tea leave transforms into black or brown particles.
3. Next visit Victoria Park, as the name suggests, Victoria Park is named after Queen Victoria. (Established in 1897, the park is a pleasant space filled with colourful flowers that you will not be able to witness in any other part of Sri Lanka! The Park is also popular for bird-watching activities and is also a favourite for children, who enjoy the miniature train ride found at the Park.)
4. This will be followed by a visit to the Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple, Ramboda. (The Ramboda area is believed to be an area where Rama’s forces were gathered against Ravana. RamPadai means Rama’s Force. The hills of Ramboda also believed where Hanuman was searching for Sitadevi. The Chinmaya mission of Sri Lanka has built an Anjaneyar temple with Hanuman as the presiding deity. This temple is called Sri Baktha Hanuman temple and the image of Lord Hanuman here is 16 feet tall.)
5. The tour will also take to see the Seetha Amman Temple. (The Seetha Amman Temple Trust decided some two years ago to build a Sita temple at a spot believed to be the exact place where Sita was held captive by the demon-king Ravana in the Lanka of the epic, Ramayana. Myth has it that Sita, the wife of King Rama, was imprisoned in the Ashoka forests of the region. The temple trustees believe that this is no myth and that Sita’s imprisonment at this spot is a historical fact.)
6. Strawberry Fields is another worth visiting place. (For an enchanting experience, visit one of the many strawberry fields in Nuwara Eliya. No visit to Nuwara Eliya is complete without a visit to the Adma Agro Farm and lots of strawberry eating. Strawberries love colder weather and Nuwara Eliya is perfect for them. Eat them off the plants or in the cafe with cream, condensed milk or drink in a juice.)
7. Gregory Lake is another serene attraction, complete with a stretch of green grass and grazing horses where countless visitors go to unwind. Here, along the lake you will see groups enjoying a family picnic, riding horses, on a paddleboat or taking a leisurely stroll. One of the main attractions in Nuwara Eliya. (Gregory Lake was built by Governor William Gregory between 1872 and 1877, in order to utilize the water from the Nanu Oya which runs across the town. It is said that the lake was used for water sports and recreational activities during the British period.)
8. Return to the hotel in Nuwara Eliya for an overnight stay.

Transfer to Bentota

1. This day you will travel along the beautiful south coast to your preferred beach hotel for your last few nights. (Bentota is a haven for relaxation and a great stop for some water sport, be it in the ocean during the season or some fun in the river. There are plenty of reliable water sports centres in the area, so prepare for a final couple of days filled with lots of water-based adventure. The top five water sports activities in Bentota are Snorkeling and Diving, Banana boat & Tube, Wind Surfing, Jet Skiing and Water Skiing.)
2. Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery – Sri Lanka is globally recognized as one of the few places in the world where you can observe marine turtles in their natural habitat. Five out of seven of the world’s marine turtle species are found in Sri Lanka and come ashore in Kosgoda to lay eggs, including green, loggerhead, hawksbill, olive ridley and leatherback.
3. Madu River Boat Ride – This River is located in the south of Sri Lanka near Galle. The water of the river is dotted with small islands and the banks are all covered with lush mangrove forests that are home to dozens of incredible animal species. Enjoy hundreds of vibrant tropical birds and a few crocodiles if you’re lucky enough. These creatures are pretty rare and don’t like crowds.
4. You will also observe some authentic prawn hunting and the peeling of a real cinnamon tree. While enjoying the safari, you can visit a beautiful temple on the “Koth Duwa” island which has a spectacular statue of Buddha standing.
5. And a fish breeding centre is located in the middle of the river offering an insight into the breeding cycle of local fish species. The swampy marshlands that surround the Madu River are under the protection of the government of Sri Lanka as it is a fragile ecosystem that is home to many rare animal species. There are around 300 animal species in the Madu River, 19 of which are endemic. The soil there is also really fertile – it’s a real treasure trove for ecologists and biologists.
6. After exploration, you can return for an outside lunch. Chauffer leads you to the place which can have the best lunch from Bentota.
7. Post lunch and exploration, return and settle into the hotel. In the afternoon you will engage with water sports activities

Day Trip to Galle

1. After breakfast, you can have an amazing trip to Galle and Hikkaduwa.

(Galle is a coastal city 130 kilometres south of Colombo. No visit to the south is complete without seeing both of these areas. A perfect combination of beach and culture, Galle has it all. Have a look at things to do in Galle Fort and in the surrounding area and what you, as a visitor, can expect from this charming coastal city.)

• Japanese Peas Pagoda

On the hillside west of Unawatuna, this impressive pagoda was built by Japanese Buddhist monks of the Mahayana sect in 2005, as part of their scheme to build peace temples in conflict zones.

• Hikkaduwa Coral Garden

The Coral sanctuary has approximately seventy varieties of multi-coloured corals. Visitors can either swim or hire a guide with glass-bottomed boats to view the corals. The coral reefs are the best place to see and admire corals and the water is never more than three or four meters deep. Some of the coral reefs are real close to the beach and can hire snorkels, masks and fins and venture into the calm crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean to be amazed at the wonderful & colourful corals and tropical fish with various colours and sizes, few inches below the surface.

• Hikkaduwa Beach

Hikkaduwa beach is a very popular destination for international tourists. It is 98 kilometres south of Colombo. It is a beautiful beach where you can relax, enjoy the sun and have the option of surfing, snorkelling or scuba diving.

Being the site of the famed coral garden, glass-bottomed boats are available on hire and visitors can explore the underwater fantasies. It is also an internationally popular destination for board-surfing and surfing.

1. In the evening you can experience the beautiful sunset. 

(Fun Fact: Technically, when you ‘see’ the sunset, the sun has already gone below the horizon. What you’re seeing is the light bent around the earth, through our atmosphere.)

Transfer to Colombo

1. Colombo, Sri Lanka’s commercial capital is its only true city. It lays one hour’s drive south of the Bandaranaike International Airport and stretches about 12 km along the coast from the Fort area in the north to its southern beach suburb of Mount Lavinia. It is a convenient hub for the start or end of any visit to Sri Lanka.
2. For the tourist in Colombo, the hub of the capital remains the Fort area where old colonial buildings remain among an increasingly vibrant skyline.
3. You can experience our Hidden History City Walking Tour which samples many of the Fort’s most famous sites before finishing amid the hustle and bustle of Pettah market where small traders congregate to sell their wares. If you prefer, we can even offer you a Colombo City Tour by Tuk Tuk.
4. The Old Dutch Hospital is now a site for some of the swankiest restaurants and bars in town, although many still throng to old favourites – a sundowner perhaps at Galle Face Hotel or experience a spot of lunch and some souvenir buying at Barefoot further down the Galle Road.
5. Cricket tourists will find much pleasure in the timeless cricket grounds with atmospheric bars that stud the capital, such as Colombo Cricket Club, or if golf is your favourite activity have around at the historic Royal Colombo Golf Club.
6. While some roads can be slightly chaotic at times, Colombo is also blessed by tree-lined avenues and you can also get active in the magnificent Viharamahadevi Park.
7. The National Museum, established by a British governor in 19C, showcases the crown and throne of former Kandyan monarchs as well as paintings and other artefacts that tell the story of Sri Lanka. It also includes a fascinating, if much more run down, natural history section.
8. Pride of the Bellanwila Raja Maha Viharaya temple, on the way south to Mount Lavinia, is a sacred Bo Tree, which according to ancient texts is one of the 32 saplings that sprang from the most sacred Bo tree of all at Anuradhapura. This ancient Buddhist temple houses statues and frescoes depicting the life of the Buddha. The Gangaramaya (Vihara) Temple is also worth a look.
