The Pondicherry administration has permitted the New Year celebration to go on with strict compliance with Covid-appropriate behaviour. At least six places in the union territory will host events all throughout the weekend. The biggest event is said to be held at the Old Port on Dec 30th and 31st of 2021 and extends to the 1st of 2022.
