Orchha Fort
You may not notice at first glance but this fort is actually built on an island. It is one of the most famous places to visit in Orchha. Seated on the edge of the Betwa river, this 16th-century fort was built by Bundela Rudra Pratap Singh. It has a massive area with several structures like forts, palaces, monuments and more.

Chhatris (Cenotaphs)
One of the most opulent structures in Orchha is the Cenotaphs or as the locals call them the Chhatris. This beautiful empty grave is located alongside the banks of the Betwa River. It was built to honour the rulers of Bundelkhand. There are 14 Cenotaphs which has been elevated on the platforms. During sunsets, these architectural marvel makes a perfect backdrop.

Orchha Wildlife Sanctuary
Across the Cenotaphs and beyond the stone bridge you will find a paradise for nature lovers. Orchha Wildlife Sanctuary is home to a wide variety of animals. You can take a safari to the sanctuary and catch sight of animals like leopards, tigers, jackals etc. and a variety of bird species which includes woodpeckers, owls, kingfishers etc.

Raja Mahal
This palace or Raja Mandir as known in the locality was ordered to be built by Rudra Pratap Singh. It began in the 16th century and was completed in the 17th century. The interior of the palace is beautiful, it can create a great impact on every art enthusiast who visits here.

Lakshmi Narayan Temple
A little away from the main town you can find Lakshmi Narayan Temple sitting in all its glory. This is one of the major temples in Orchha dedicated to another Hindu deity Lakshmi, who is often regarded as the Goddess of wealth. The temple was ordered to be built by Bir Singh Deo in the 16th century, and you see its mix of architecture and Orchha Wall Paintings. You can even see a beautiful sight of the Cenotaphs in a distance.
